The # represents the Storage Group number with the First Storage Group file called E00.chk. The E00.chk file maintains the checkpoint for the Storage Group. Which is a temporary database where transactions are processed, and E#.chk. By then it is 3:00 am and the exchange appears to work even on reboot with the E00.chk file which I have seem as a problem elsewhere. SuddenlyĮ00.chk appears with that exact date and time. So I go to another customer with the 2003 server. I was looking at the mail box directory on the Enterprise server, before my eyes there appears a E00.chk file with that moments time and date. I have the same exact oddball behaviour on 2 different Exchange servers.
